Train. Don't Workout.


Do you workout or do you train?

Let me help you with that answer. There is a very easy way to figure it out. Go ahead and walk into the weight room, gym, exercise area, or just get some athletic clothing on. Now, if I asked you what you're doing today what would you say? Would you take a deep breath and think about it? Or look at your program and tell me with confidence?

That's the difference. Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Those of you winging it each day, rolling the dice with your "workout", you are doing a good job staying active. Maybe you have made some great progress. Lost a few pounds, maybe even allot. Got some good strength gains, maybe even bulked up a bit. I applaud you for making a difference. But, now it's time to take it to the next level with a game plan. Rolling the dice can only take you so far.

You need a progression, and you need to earn your progression.

Know what you are doing each month, week, and day. Know what the plan is and where it is going to take you. Get into the weight room with confidence. This will allow you continue to push yourself. Become stronger, faster, loose that extra weight.

Keep it simple:
Week 1: Heavy
Week 2: Heavier
Week 3: Heaviest
Week 4: Light and fast
